Default Was Considering Purchasing from NewEgg until....

So I am currently looking at TVs and where to buy from. I have always like New Egg and they have a great price on the Samsung LN40a650. But then, I saw this.

"There must be a minimum of 8 dead pixels to declare an LCD display defective and eligible for return."

If there is one dead pixel on a $1300 TV I am going to return, let alone eight. Just thought people might be interested in not purchasing from NewEgg.

You can get it 20 bucks cheaper:

Samgung LN-40A650

Any reason why you are getting this tv? I prefer this one:

Panasonic 42pz85u

And you can get this one for $200 less.

I am just looking. I haven't seen the 85U in action, only the 80. I love the look of this LCD. I am definitely open to suggestions and need to keep looking around.

I have yet to own a Panasonic product that hasnt burned out, or in the case of my clock radio, caught on fire in less than a year of owning it. Panasonic wouldn't be on my radar at half the cost of a Samsung.

I bought the Panny 85U for 1799.99 at best buy. Best Buy has the no intrest for 36 months. Plus you have 30 days to return and also price match local retailers during that time if price falls. I like mine very much. I was looking at LCD when other power forum members here pointed me to the force which is the plasmas

I bought my Panny plasma from Newegg back in April. I got the TV 4 days after i ordered it. It was perfect, no issues. Best Buy at the time was selling the same tv for over $300 more! Plus no tax from newegg and free delivery.

Go with the Panasonic 42pz85u. Great TV!

I love my Pan th42pz80u. The Pz85u has the 10,000 higher native contrast and i would choose both over the Sam 650 (although it to is a good tv)

Hate to say it but most online retailers are going to have a similar policy with dead pixels.

The 85U is one outstanding tv. I used to prefer the look of LCD too until I bought a Plasma.

How do you think the sets arrive at B&M stores? Unless you haul it from the stores yourself, how will it get to your home? They are all shipped many times between wholesale/warehouses/retail to your home. Just make sure you purchase from a reputable online retailer that backs their products with solid return policies.
