I was thinking off adding in another HDD to my PS3 like a 250GB or something like that and also adding like a external HDD aswell but ran into a dilemma regarding the paid for downloads i have like tekken DR, Flow, Super rub a dub and other things.
I was wondering if anybody could reccomend the best HDD choices both external and internal, if i should go with a 5400 RPM internal HDD but with a really high cache number, e.g 8-16MB and what sort of an external HDD i should look for. I live in the UK so stores that are both retail and reputable online would be appreciated and also advice on what i can do about the paid for games i downloaded off of the PS store and also the videos, music and photos i have stored. |

For the paid games, you can just download them again. It won't count as part of your five-downloads service (you can share the game with five different PS3s).
As far as HDDs, I think the jury is still out there with regards to high cache making a dent or not. Probably with dowloaded games, the high cache may improve things. As far as external ones, what's good for your PC is good for the PS3. You can afford to get a higher RPM and higher cache with externals. I'm still surprised that nobody has done a FrankenPS3. fuad |
