Who reads the instruction booklet in their videogames ?

I was wondering who reads the little booklet that comes with each game ?
You know the booklet that says which buttons do what in that particular game, what's the story and so on. It seems these booklets used to be much more exhaustive but now they seem to be much more summarized as people seem to not read those too much.

So do you guys like to patiently read them before playing the game or do you jump on the game and avoid altogether the booklet or instructions manual (whatever it is called).

15 Years ago on the Sonic games I used to totally read the manual for almost one hour before touching the game, now I barely look at it as playing the game is what I do to fine tune my play. How about you ?
