i have a sony xbr 5 and it runs at full HD. I also have a ps3 the 80 gb metal gear solid edition.... I was playing call of duty 4 last night and it says on the back of the case that the supported hd output is 1080p... but when i playthe game it only displays at 720 p??? why is that?? and could someone tell me how to get it to display at 1080p if possible??

By default most of the games run at 720P.I guess u have to uncheck all the other resolutions except the 1080P in ur PS3 video settings. The Ps3 will then automatically upconvert everything to 1080P.But I think it doesn't make much big of a difference. Some one can chime in to provide better ideas ..Hope it helps

OK..I had this same problem with DEAD SPACE. No need to worry man, all you need to do is go under your Video settings for the HDMI and only highlight the 1080p and turn off the 720p!! This will work for you
