Default Interview with the Vampire Soundtrack CHANGED! NOT

Finally got around to watching the Blu-ray. I've seen this film many times. Saw it twice in the theater, had the laserdisc, had both DVD releases. Every time, it has always ended with The Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil. This time it ended with Guns and Roses doing a cover version.

I watched the credits and where it would normally be listed, it's missing. After all previous credits are gone a new screen listing the performance pops up.

To make absolutely sure I was not remembering wrong, I looked up the soundtrack CD's song listings and sure enough only the Jagger original is on there.

I'm assuming The Rolling Stones were getting too costly so they substituted to save money. The GNR version isn't bad at all, I am just more or less against films being changed after they are released, especially if it's for some unartistic reason such as saving money.

Anyway, just passing this along. It shouldn't be a deal-breaker, the film is still as good as it ever was. The ending feels a little more punk-rock than classic rock as it did before so it changes the tone slightly. Considering the next book/film in the franchise it may even be a more appropriate note to end on.
