Default Sony VPL-AW15 Problems

I recently began to notice that my projector was taking longer than normal to start up. One day the lamp never lit and the LED flashed three times which is supposed to indicate that the lamp is bad or the lamp cover is loose. I checked the lamp cover and it was secure but I went ahead and removed it and replaced it. After that the projector powered up fine for a few days then I was back to the blinking LED. This process went on for a couple of weeks with instances of success anf failure. I called Sony and the lady I spoke with told me my lamp was burnt out and I needed a new one. I told her it only had 362 hours on it and there was no way I was buying a new lamp evey 300 hours or so. When it finally powers on it works fine so I am sending it in for service. Anyone had this same issue?

I have the same projector and luckily I haven't had any problem with it.

I saw several people on AVSforum that have had the same issue. I am shipping it out tomorrow and hopefully I can have it repaired with no hassle.

I got my projector back yesterday and they replaced the bulb at no charge. Seems to be working fine again.
