I thought they was as I looked for the info there in the first place.
Damn shame. When will they remove the damn region locking. Maybe it would be wise to buy 2 BD players. One for Region 1 and one for Region 2. |

That's Region A and Region B. Region 1 and 2 are for DVDs.

Region coding is not going to go away. That's one of the promises that BDA made to the studios to get them to support Blu-ray over HD DVD. The region was simplified compared to DVD, and importantly added Japan (Region 2), Korea and Hong Kong (Region 3) to Region A (Americas). Unfortunately most of Europe went from Region 2 to Region B, so I still need to rely on my HTPC with AnyDVD to play these other region discs. Hopefully once Blu-ray becomes little more main stream, there will be more region-free solutions.
