Default New Blu-ray Ad

I was watching an NFL game today and saw a commercial advertising Blu-ray and the upcoming movies to be released. It featured Wall-E, Dark Knight, Hancock, Wanted and Hellboy 2. It's good to see that they're promoting the format like this going into the holiday shopping blitz.

I enjoy looking at the blu-ray commercials a lot. Its a sign that blu-ray will be taking over as the superior format. This is going to be one crazy holiday season regarding the lower blu-ray player prices.

It was an awesome Blu-ray promo commercial. They showed A LOT of summer blockbusters. Especially The Dark Knight. Can't wait to see how Blu-ray does in the 4th quarter!!

My girlfriend and I went and saw Zack and Miri Make A Porno last night and one of the ads before the film was a new Sony ad for Blu-ray. It featured Daniel Craig as Bond standing and looking at the audience as explosions went off behind him. Shrapnel from the explosions would zip forward and hit him from various angles as he just cooly recomposed himself and continued staring at the audience with what seemd like a look of hostile displeasure. I found it here on YouTube:

What do you think of that?

Well, on second thought, I'm not going to have a good holiday season this year and won't be buying anything blu. High credit card bills.

Yeah, I've been excited to see them ratcheting up the advertising. Anyway, I think this is the commercial I saw during the Terminator TV show. I've been trying to find out if this one and the one mentioned in a recent article are one in the same though.

I saw a different add at the theater, but it was strictly for Blu-ray...pushing the formats advantages. Good to see.
