Default Eleventh Hour on CBS

FX and CBS are the two networks I'm looking forward to this season and since I've already talked over the shows on FX on other posts, I'm wondering what you guys thought about Eleventh Hour thats coming up. Its got an interesting angle to the same ol crime show: put an emphasis on science and use it as a main basis to solving investigations. CSI has some of this but it don't use it as the main focus. From the bits I've seen it looks like it might be interesting and worth watching this season.

Any early predictions?

I don't know this show, the only shows I'll be following this season are: Family Guy, The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, American Dad, Sarah Connor Chronicles and Prison Break.

All I know is the guy that plays the lead is a great british actor, but in the little trailer I saw on the show, it was weird for me to hear him with an American accent!

What would I do without IMDb?
Did a quick search and found out that you're right! Rufus Sewell is a well known English actor and in a bunch of stuff, apparently usually playing a dark brooding bad guy (apparently Eleventh Hour is a remake of the British series).

I saw some previews for the show and I would have also never guessed that he was using an American accent (its weird to think of it as an accent). Anyways I'm interested to see how he plays his role as a good guy, he kind of has that dark look to him.

Yep, precisely - he's been so typecast as the villain playing pretty much the same period film bad guy, I remember him in:

A Knight's Tale
Legend of Zorro
Tristan & Isolde

I actually might tune in -- when's the premiere?

Villains usually make interesting good guys, I can see his cold dead eyes investigating suspects right now! He actually kind of looks like an older Billie Joe from Green Day in a couple of angles (with some mascara I think you pretty much have him).

Speaking of look alikes... the girl in Eleventh Hour, Marley Shelton looks EXACTLY like Heather Graham! Needless to say, shes beautiful and a great addition to the show. I also wouldn't be surprised if she was Heather Graham's long lost sister. Don't you guys think?

Oh, and its airing October 9th at 10pm, right after CSI! It'll be easy to remember cause I'll probably be tuning in for CSI anyways.

Heroes was pretty awesome, it looks like Hiro might actually have some competition this season. The storyline is getting pretty complex, I hope I can keep up with it.

American Eleventh Hour:

British Eleventh Hour:

Comparison of the two shows, I'm digging Marley Shelton from the US one a lot more but I'm a fan of Patrick Steward. I'm pretty sure Rufus Sewell will do a good job as well (hes got that hardcore scientist look down).

Wow, no ones posted anything on this show yet? The show has exceeded my expectations and I'm set to watch the whole season. I'd recommend this show to anyone who likes sci-fi crime dramas, its more factually based so nothing too bizarre.

SPOILER AHEAD!!!!!

In the most recent episode, did anyone suspect that kid from the beginning? I thought the whole Niche angle was great, pretty creative for a kid. Kind of creepy to think that he is capable of that.

I've seen all the episodes so far and the show is okay. Somewhat typical for a CBS style show though. It is basically a crime procedural drama with a little science thrown in.

It really does have that CBS flavor to it because Jerry Bruckheimer is producing. Compared to CSI though, there was much more of a focus on the little science things and less on the procedural part. Dr. Hood often focuses as if hes trying to solve a scientific mystery while someone like Grisom focuses on tying the crime to the suspects using interrogation and his sharp eye. Not that I prefer either but I like both.
