Is going to destruct HD_DVD for ever.Blu_RAY will take over HD-DVD especially with PS3 released and Casino Royale

CR is not only a success title on blu-ray but it attract new customers to emmerge in HIGH DEFINITION and sure Beyond high definition

I think the ONLY market where BD market dominance will be contested is North America.

Blu-ray has already past HD DVD in Europe...

Average top-10 sales ranking at Amazon.co.uk
Blu-ray: 871
HD DVD: 1651

Among the top-10 HD DVD number 1 and 6 aren't even movies... Removing them and the HD DVD sales ranking goes up to 2101.

By the end of the upcoming weekend, all HD-DVD fanboys will be Blu in the face.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Blu-Ray shall conquer all.
HD-DVD has no real market over here imo.. it's blu-ray all the way.

Once PS3 and Casino Royale come in the PAL scene, then expect some massive damage against HD-DUD

Only a matter of time before we see the results from March 23rd to March 31st. It's gonna be highly interesting.

I think the funny thing is some European PS3 owners may JUST BE TEMPTED enough to buy CR first instead of waiting for their free copy. By the way, what are the new releases on BD for Europe this weekend? Should make for an interesting observation.

Aside from Casino Royale, there's:

-Layer Cake
-MI 3 (stand-alone)
-MI 1+2+3 (ultimate missions)
-Superman Returns

Guess that's it.

I prefer Blu-Ray over HD DVD, but it could be possible that HDDVD will win the battle in Europe. Most of the small European distributors will chose the cheaper production of HD DVD compared to the cost of manufacturing Blu-Ray. Note that Studio Canal and many small European film companies have chosen for HD-DVD.

Studio Canal has already gone on record that they are preparing BD releases.
