Default Recomend me an antenna?

Well the cable bill is getting too damned expensive so we are likely going to be killing that (our cable is from comcast), we are going to be keeping basic cable and may hang on to the DVR, but that means any HD I want to watch, I will need to get it OTA, so that means I will need an antenna.

Since my house is poured concrete, I will need an external one and will have to figure out a way to wire it up, but should not be too much hard work, I have a drop ceiling, and I may just use the coax that is already wired up.

Any antenna recomendations?

It's okay. Everyone forgets once in a while. Or simply doesn't care.

This site was posted on the aforementioned thread.

TV Reception / Antenna

Just in case you missed it, put in your address and other conditions (one or two story house, etc.) and it provides a list of stations you should be able to receive. On that listpage, click "View Street Level Map" to see the directions to the stations.

The list color-codes the stations with the same colors that antenna manufacturers use to define their products' sensitivity.

Yellow -- Strongest stations / smallest antenna
Green -- Moderately strong / modest antenna
Red -- Average signal / moderate sized antenna
Blue -- Weaker signal / large antenna
Violet -- Weakest signal / largest antenna

Make sure to note whether any broadcasters in your area will stay/return to their VHF assignments after the February switch. Some will. If so, you will need a combination VHF/UHF antenna. If all will be in the UHF channels, you can get a UHF only antenna. Regardless, use the color-code to choose a suitable antenna for the weakest signal you will want to receive.

Also remember that you may need a rotator to point the antenna if the stations are scattered around the map in diverse compass directions.
