So just saw that there is already a Blu-ray of this out at Redbox locations. Currently only available to rent, but you will be able to purchase the Blu-ray from Redbox locations for $5.99 in about 30 days.

Couple of of questions. I've never bought anything from Redbox before. Does it give you some sort of case with art, or just the disc?

Also, does anyone know if this will have a retail version available or will this only be available to purchase from Redbox machines?

You just get the redbox case.
But don't buy it. Its not a good movie.

As for the movie, it's a bit weird, but I actually liked it. It's very different and I can see it not being for everyone.

Vertical Entertainment said this movie did some good business for them. Not sure if they will recoup their budget.
But if that's the case, I;m sure that means there's a blu on it's way, hopefully later this year. And maybe if Trank is so proud of this film he'll give it a commentary.

What this likely means tho is Quiver will release it in a couple months, I saw The Fanatic available for disc rental before it got a full retail release. Don’t fret just yet

He seems proud of his film and he's such a maniac, that i would like to hear mroe from him.
He's also got an inflated ego and a fanbase that stays loyal to him, which is bizarre. I mean he's no Wes Anderson or something.

Yeah, it’s very weird. Same with someone like Max Landis who seems to have tons of defenders.

Yeah, not a big fan of Max Landis. Josh Trank has his issues, but Chronicle was pretty good and I liked Capone.

I see lionsgate is releasing this but e cover doesn’t show it comes with a digital code does anyone know if it will ?

Watched this last night and really enjoyed it. The fervency of some of its negative reviews on RottenTomatoes convinces me that Trank's reputation has simply made him persona non grata in the Hollywood community and his projects are unlikely to be given a fair assessment. I do notice that the Redbox Blu-ray seems to be pressed directly by Redbox/Vertical Entertainment and though it's otherwise good, it suffers from banding (the first five minutes or so are choked by it, but thank God, it cools out substantially from that point), so I'm hoping that the forthcoming Lionsgate release offers superior encoding.

Anyone order this from Bullmoose? I had an order with a few other films coming out next week and they all shipped except for Capone. What's weird is that Capone is in stock.
