Wall-E two disc or three disc? - Blu-ray Forum

Am I missing something? With the exception of one or two differences I'm not seeing what would entice me to pick up the three disc edition. Is there anything that I'd really be missing out on by sticking with the two disc?

The third disc has a "digital copy."

The only difference is one has a digital copy and the other doesn't. They're the same price on Amazon, so you might as well get the 3-disc version.

I'll be getting the 2-disc. Digital copies bug me for some reason. I mean, I'm glad they're available for people who use them, but it's just a waste of a disc for me.

Ya...I agree. I'd rather have the dvd version than a digital copy. It's useless. I've got a bunch of unused digital copies. And what's this I hear they expire??

Do they have the same packaging? I prefer standard BD cases.

The differences are:
The 2-disc comes in a regular 2-disc Blu-ray case with a slip cover.
The 3-disc comes in a thicker Blu-ray case (See Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Supernatural, Prison Break S3, UK releases), as well as a digital copy and a slip cover.

Heh, I could care less, but they were the exact same cost on Amazon and then the 3-disk got tossed in my quick pick, so it was actually cheaper than the 2-disk.

I would have much rather the 3-disk been like the Sleaping Beauty setup with a DVD copy.

So, basically it's a thicker case just so they can fit in the digital copy I won't use. Yeah, I'm definitely sticking with the 2-disc. For Prince Caspian too. Thanks for confirming the differences.

Really, cause my copies of Speed Racer and Get Smart are both three discs, and the casing is the same as a usual BD case.

Just saw the photos, my bad, but it looks like the case isn't too much thicker, probably the same as a PS3 case, if not a bit slimer than that. Anyways, I'm going with the 3 disc, I like those free ipod copies.

Just a simple question now, if I order it online, which site would be best for me to guarantee that I'll get mine on or before the 18th?

If the digital copies were PSP compatible, I'd be all over the 3-disc edition. Sadly, they are not.
