Has anyone heard of a SDK called GEM? I was told that it was a Java based SDK made specifically for Blu-Ray, but I can't find any information on the net for it. If not, does anyone know what (if any) development environment will be used?

The only thing I've heard mentioned about Java for Blu-ray is something called BD-J, which the BDA describes as:
"BD-J is based on the Java 2 Micro-Edition (J2ME) Personal Basis Profile (PBP) – a Java profile that was developed for consumer electronics devices." You can find more information about BD-J in their whitepapers: http://www.blu-raydisc.com/Section-13628/Index.html |
