Well, if I wasn't the only person in my group of friends who has adopted Blu I would look forward to giving. But maybe I'll be getting some and treating my self to a few extra with Holiday Bonus at work.

Im looking forward to a blu Christmas. Wow remember the tone last year when we had HD-DVD to deal with? Now all we have is those silly bloggers who keep saying blu-ray will die any day sighhhh.

My folks don't have an HD tv, let alone a Blu-Ray player, so I can't really get them any Blu-Rays (it was bad enough to download the soundtrack to MAMMA MIA! and burn it onto a disc for them). I may get something for my brother, although he's more of a gamer than a Blu-Ray enthusiast.

Me on the other hand, have a wish list devoted primarily to Blu-Ray's. Here's my list.

Iron Man (2008) (Paramount)
James Bond Collection Three-Pack: Volume 1 (Die Another Day, For Your Eyes Only, Thunderball) (MGM)
James Bond Collection Three-Pack: Volume 2 (Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Live and Let Die) (MGM)
Firefly (Fox)
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (3-Disc Collector's Edition) (Universal)
The Dark Knight (Limited Edition) (Warner)

These are the ones I'm holding off of getting. The superhero films I know are going to be around for a while and are big releases, so there's no chance of them screwing up. And the James Bond volumes and FIREFLY are the expensive ones that I'm hoping to get without paying for them. I just dropped over a hundred dollars on the PLANET OF THE APES set. I don't want to spend another hundred on a Blu-Ray set a week later. I'm in between jobs, so I gotta tighten up.

If I can get at least half of those under the tree, I'll consider it a good Christmas.

I'd rather get a gift card to be able to purchase my own Blu's then be given Blu's. Other people might not have the same taste in movies as I do. That is also why I don't give movies as gifts, I don't want to give them something they might absolutely loathe.

I'm actually part of both class. I have a couple friends and family members with bluray players so I might have to get them some for Christmas. I am the biggest fanatic out of them though so I'm hoping for a few for Christmas.

Well,...

I just got my step dad a blu ray player for his birthday so getting him a blu ray would make sense... I suppose if he's willing to return the favor. (Can't be a one way street for too long.)

I'm hoping my interest in receiving Blus as gifts will peak the interest of the gift givers into finally buying into blu so that I can give blus as gifts in the future

I will hopefully be having a blu christmas. I already put out my list and the majority of it was bluray movies. I only have one friend that has a bluray player and HDTV, so I might be giving a few to him.

I'm hoping to be getting Blu-Rays for Christmas. The only person who I know would want Blu-Rays is my dad. I'll probably get him the Godfather Collection; he loves those films. To be honest though, I may actuall just ask to have my laptop updated to play Blu-Rays instead of Blu-Ray discs (still Blu-Ray related ).

i asked for a # of blu's from my side and my wife's side. we'll see if i get any though. what's the point of asking for a list if u're not gonna buy from that list???

i wish my parents would get a blu-ray player, they have a 50" 1080p samsung and just a combo dvd/vcr unit!!

i would get them one but am not in a financial place to do that this year.
