Default Sleeping Beauty: Will Disney provide a DVD with all future BD releases?

I will be purchasing the Sleeping Beauty BD soon and was especially impressed that they were providing a DVD copy of the movie with the BD. Does anyone know if they are doing this with other releases as well?

I think it's a brillant idea, I hope they continue it for future combo discs.

I agree, maybe it will happen with their anime catalog releases. It is obviously, not happening with the new movies.

I love it, because my computer is not Blu yet, so I can use the DvDs for screen caps and such. I keep a lot of my DvDs for this reason.

So I guess the other releases have a Digital Copy instead. So is the digital copy DRM free???? I have a DVD player in my card that has an SD slot but obviously it won't play if it has DRM

I believe the DVD included with Sleeping Beauty is a temporary promotion, though I can't recall where I read that (although it would explain the simple paperboard-sleeve-tucked-into-the-shrinkwrap packaging).

Pinocchio will also have a standard DVD included (according to dvdtimes.co.uk).

When I entered the rewards code for sleeping beauty I received a survey (might have been right there, might have been in my email... can't remember) that asked several questions including if the dvd influenced the purchase of the blu ray.

I would assume they would use those stats to make further decisions on whether or not to include a dvd. So it probably wouldn't hurt to fill out the survey if you haven't.

No! Example: Tinker Bell. I got the BD for my girls, then rent the DVD to rip a copy for their in-car entertainment. No way I was gonna buy both versions. I like the way they did Sleeping Beauty, too. The extra production cost should be minimal. And I don't think they'll lose out on any DVD sales as DVD-only owners will still buy them while BD owners will buy the BD versions.

Tinker Bell doesn't fall under the same catagory as Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, Lion King, etc. maybe they'll just be doing it for all they're platnium releases.
