Default 300 on Blu Ray?

I know this is a little early to ask since the movie is still in theaters...but does anyone if 300 will be on Blu Ray? That'll be awesome.

Considering there was a downloadable HD trailer for 300 on the Playstation Store, I would imagine that it would come out on Blu-Ray.

It's a Warners film, so it will be on Blu-ray. The target audience for that movie is the target audience for the PS3 and other HD equipment. The only problem would be if BD-J and PiP aren't yet ready, which means it would be held back like Batman, V, Matrix, etc. I would say this would be on DVD mid to late summer, so hopefully those features will be good to go by then.

My release date guess is going off of other movies released around this time. V for Vendetta debuted in theaters on March 17th and was on DVD on August 1st. I got those dates from videoeta.com. Sin City was April 1st and August 16th, so it could be late July, it will depend on the theater run and what extras they put on the release.

I think I've seen this discussed over on AVS and from what I remember, people were saying it was slated for THD sometime soon.

As much as I want this movie, I'll pass until HD-DVD ( and THD ) die off and I can get it on a pure BR disc. I'm sure I'll rent it on THD but there's no way I'll have THD in my collection.

That's what my friends say when they see it. "Dude, this is better than the theater!"

Also, I could see Warners using a title like this, which is sure to sell, to try and get THD to catch on, but I wouldn't touch it w/ an HD-DVD supporter's hand, I'm just not that mean.

The PiP stuff is rumored to be showing the same scenes with the actors and the green screen in the little box while the finished stuff on the main screen.

So, based on Warner's past history, either they get rid of the PiP stuff for BR or they will delay it just like all the other movies only out on HD DVD.

I don't care myself, I just want the best picture and sound format, f' the extras.

Same here, just want the movie. But how do you know the PiP stuff won't be ready by August, or around that time? Just asking, since that's what we're all waiting on from Warners (and maybe Fox now). I would really like for BDA to name even just a month that it should be ready.

That's when players must be able to utilize those features, it's October 31st; all players released after that date must have BD-J hardware support.

The request of mine that you quoted was for a month that the features themselves would be ready to go. I knew about the hardware support deadline.

Same here dude I love both of those movies... For now I'm buying Blu-Rays that would look great (CGI Movies) on 1080p. For some reason I dont know If I'm the only one but I have a 42" Aquos and a PS3 to play my BD and movies like Babel, House of Flying Daggers, Pursuit of HappYness, March of the Penguins etc... you know the real movies not animated look grainy the guy at Best Buy called it "Cloudy"??? does anyone know how to get rid of that? when I chenged my TV from Dynamic to Movie it kinda works but you can still see dots... : ( I'm sure it's something I need to know how to fix HELP!

I haven't had that problem, so I would first look at your connections, then the TV. For Babel, however, that is how Innaratu meant the movie to look, grainy.

Hey thanks for your feedback man... I was over at Best Buy a week ago and they have a Blu-Ray stand with a Bravia and a Sony Blu-Ray player and they have RV & Click playing and they also have the grainy look... Maybe I should go to a professional place and see what they say. I do have a good HDMI cable It's a Monster 800 HDMI 4 Ft. so I dunno... Anyone elses feed back would also help though!
