Default Which Players Keep Your Spot After Powering Off?

Hey there,

I picked up the Samsung 1500 a couple weeks ago and really have been enjoying it! The only thing that's getting on my nerves is not being able to continue from where I left on a movie if I turn the player off. Is there a player out there that will do this? The player I was eyeing most strongly was the Panasonic BD35, does it do this? Thanks!

Several threads on this and it is not the player, it's the BD. Several movies will continue where you last left off and others wont.

My Panasonic DMP-BD10AK resumed every movie when I turned the power off. I think its the player not the movie.

I don't think it work for BD-J title witch is all title to date.

It's not the player, it's Clearly stated that BD-J have to Clear it's memory before playing again thus losing the playback spot..

i know the PS3 has that feature. you just press the pause button on a scene you want to stop at and then press the O button. from there you can even eject the disc and reinsert it and it will go back to right where you paused the movie at. so you can also turn the PS3 off right after you do that simple method of saving where you left off as well. but just let you know it doesnt work on BD-Java movies and im not sure about the BD-Live movies. because i know for certain the BD-J movies have the option where you can bookmark scenes.

But shouldn't the bluray player at least do this for DVDs? I've been watching JFK on DVD on my Samsung 1500 over the past couple days, and have had to chapter search back to my place every time.
