I thought that all Blu-rays were copy protected. Hmm... Maybe not. It was a 29 GB movie in Chinese.

that is still from the old crack found!!! lol all blu-rays and hd dvds were completly open they are copy protected but blu-ray hasent used bd+

and with the blank media so expensive why not just buy the movie

Burners are discs are expensive, but how big would a blu-ray quality movie file be if you wanted to save it on your hard drive?

Well you can buy a Seagate 750GB drive right now for $254.99. So if the Prestige is 29 GB. I could store about 24 Blu-ray movies on it. So that’s about 10 dollars a movie, storage wise.

After reading this, a quick check on google shows that HD-DVD was broke first...

There you go : HD-DVD downloads for a Blu-Ray machine (If you won't to go the ILLEGAL route). Not for me...but it does solve the 'format' war if everything just goes digital.

if you own a ps3...can't you just download it to an external HD in AVC format?..

there are a few bluray movies available for download and a few games as well for the ps3....

but the games are pointless since there isn't a crack available for pirates...
