Default Casino loading problem

I tried searching for this problem but didnt really find a topic.

I have a Panny BD35 player and I recently bought a copy of Casino on blu ray. But for some reason it takes FOREVER to load. It makes it fine to the language selection screen, and even those warning screens, but after that it goes black for over 3mins before it loads to the main menu!

Could it be the disc?
Could it be the player?

And has anyone experienced this on a BD35 or any other player?

Well right now I'm at work but I did purchase it on Dec. 12th and went home that day and updated firmware via network cable. So whatever firmware version was out at that time, I have.

Which version of Casino Royale do you have?

V

EDIT: My mistake, I just noticed it is the movie Casino, not the Bond movie.

Well I just checked which firmware I have and its 1.6 But the problem still happens.

Does anyone with a BD35 experience this also?
Does anyone experience this with another blu ray player?

I have the BD55 and my casino takes a long time to load too. It is by far the longest loading time for any of my movies.

I used to have the PS3 and it took a while to load in my PS3 too.

The loading doesn't really bother me much since it is the only movie I have that takes that long but I have definitely noticed it.

Hmm, must be a movie problem then. I would like to hear more from people with other blu ray players and their experience with this movie.

Same here. It's the first BD that took so long to load, though I probably noticed it only because the PS3 usually loads so quickly. It's not like I had time to take a shower before returning to the menu.

So are you saying yours doesn't take long to load?

I have a Samsung BD-1200. Firmware up to date. Same problem. At least it does work... in time. Took me a while to wait long enough to see that it WOULD load....

Different hardware releases firmware in different schedules. Samsung is always way behind the times..... maybe in the next few months a new one will be out to help the problem.

I had this problem last weekend on my BD30..It appears the Panasonic players have an issue with this disc. I am on the latest firmware.

There is a thread about it on AVS as well and if you google the issue there are many people having the issue on the Panasonic's only. Mine took 10 minutes to load after sitting on the black screen. I was not happy!
