There is currently no official "PS3" wireless card. Even if there were, you'd probably be voiding the warranty if you attempted to replace it yourself. As far as USB ones, I'm not sure if or how they would work with the PS3.

You should call Sony about your issue though, my PS3's wireless works very fast and flawlessly. It's definitely as fast as my 360 and laptop.

The linksys Wireless Game Adaptor for use with PS2/Xbox will work just fine. Basically it converts your ethernet connection into a wireless card with no drivers required

Well, what about one of those ethernet things that you plug into your electric socket and lets the connection go to the router? Its not wireless, but its conveninet. But a bit pricy.

the 360 Wifi USB thing costs $70 !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

anywho, bagel, the wifi card on the PS3 isn't the best, but take it from me, you don't need a replacement.
i pay $9.99 for the lowest bandwith DSL, bought a $15 belkin wireless G router, and i haven't had any issues (no dropped games, downloading issues, hulu streaming issues RMC streaming issues or anythign).

i did however in hte past, then i built a dinky parabola for my dinky router.
http://binarywolf.com/249/diy-parabolic-reflector.htm

my signal strength w/out the parabola won't go past 20%. with the parabola my router being completely on the other side of the house corssing a long hallway, the kitchen, and the entire livingroom will supply my PS3 with no less than 45% wifi signal.

i didnt say it was slow it just sucks because it has a weak signal compared to a laptop and 360 wireless what i get 2 bars on a laptop on the ps3 is like 7 % signal and it takes at least a solid 30 for it to work correctly

An external aerial will always give a stronger broadcast but I have no complaints. 80-100% signal strength through a couple of solid surfaces.

make that parabola dude. it'll cost you about $.15 worth of material you already have at home.

and it'll save you any warranty voiding, external pieces, taking up a USB slot, etc etc.

it took me about 10 minutes to gather components, all the way through sticking it on the router atenna and wacthing the signal strength jump the secodn i slip it on.

i will say this, the hand made parabolas are ****en ugly. lol , but so are routers.
