felt like a # where you work????
I've been catching a lot of heat @ my job the last week or so. My supervisor is out on vacation this week and this has all started since he's been gone. I work in a secured building, incoming, personal phone calls are for "emergencies" only. I've got 2 little ones @ home (almost 3 and 6 months). My wife stays home w/them during the day. I don’t have and don’t want a cell. A complaint was lodged b/c her calls were not "emergencies." She'd call to ask me to pick stuff up for the kids, medicine, prescriptions, whatever. I get the ok from my sup. for her to email this stuff rather than call. Monday, when my sup. is gone, I get an email from my back up sup, "another sup. caught you using personal email on company time, what do you have to say about this?" I send my response w/the explanation of how I got the ok. Today, my UL (2nd in command) tells me he was pulled into the managers office and was told to basically babysit me from now on. He's cool and was just giving me a heads up. Does your employer treat you this way?? Like a # that can be replaced rather than a valuable employee?? It's not like I'm not getting my work done, I'm actually one of the most productive employees on the floor based on my #’s. |
