Default New PC

Hi all, I am wanting to build a new PC from scratch (well not entirely, want to keep existing sound card, video card and computer chassis, see signature) My question is this: Are there motherboards out there that can output, via HDMI, both video AND audio from my existing video and sound cards? I realize that HDMI motherboards can output the audio using the onboard audio processor, but would like to send the video and audio from my existing hardware (which i paid good money for) all through one cable. If so, will the audio bitstream support bitstreaming lossless codecs to my receiver?

I have been out of the loop on hardware for a while, so pardon the question if this has been asked before.

the only platforms can bitstream DTS-HD MA,Dolby True HD are:
  • AMD GPU`s 5xxx/6xxx
  • nVidia GT 430/440/GTS 450/GTX 550 Ti/GTX 460/GTX 560 Ti
  • intel`s new cpus with integrated intel HD2000/HD3000 GPU
  • Asus Xonar Hdav 1.3

If you want to save money, keep your old pc and buy a new graphic`s card
that supports HD audio bitstreaming.
Every dual core cpu can play blu-rays using hardware acceleration from you GPU.

This. However, how old is the PC? If you're planning on updating everything, I would just buy all new parts and keep your current one as a back up, or hook it up to another TV. You have to make sure your components from you older system will work with your new on.

Your card, from what I read, does all that you want now:

Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
