Default TV for the bedroom

Greetings,

I'm looking for a TV for the bedroom and was thinking of getting the Sharp LC37D64U. The viewing distance is going to be around 8 feet so I my question is, is a 37" TV about the right size for this distance? Also from reviews I've read this Sharp is a pretty good one, any opinions about that? I already picked up the Sharp BDHP21 Blu-ray player and am very happy with it (don't need BD Live in the bedroom, have the PS3 for my main system).
Thanks in advance.

Alex

I sit 8 feet from my 37" (aquos) and I think it's fine..... could stand to be closer I guess.... For a 37" at 8 feet viewing distance, I'd recommend saving a lot of money and getting a 720p

They're practically giving them away right now.

I have a 37' in my bedroom and have it mounted on the wall. The viewing distance is 6 - 7 feet away. I have a 720p/1080i and I am using a 1 arm wall mount. I have it facing the bed and sometimes I move it to face away from the bed if Im on the other side of the room.

The viewing is excellent. No blu-ray in the bedroom yet, just an upconvertor.

I have a 40" Samsung LCD in the bedroom with about an 8' or 9' viewing distance and it is perfect. I don't have DirecTV HD in the bedroom yet and it is a good size for SD broadcasts.

42" probably as big as you want to go unless you have a huge bedroom. 37" isn't to bad but if you can go bigger without breaking the bank go for it.

Even if you don't have a huge room you can always go bigger. Heck, I plan on having a projector in my bedroom soon. lol.

I have a 46'' 1080p at 10 feet and I have no problems with watching. At 8 ft maybe even a 42'' ? 37'' is no problem, better too big than too small
