Default Documentary Questions from a Novice on BLU RAY vs HD DVD

Can someone give me a real "cliff notes" version of which company will ultimately have more movies and pbs documentaries available. Especially National Geographic titles

Go for blu-ray. There is more room for quality and more studios are releasing titles on blu-ray. The only major studio not supporting it is Universal, and we anticipate that will change over the next year.

For documentaries in HD, depending on where you live, I recommend buying a good antenna, an HD receiver and tuning into your local PBS station. Here in the bay area, KQED starts broadcasting in HD at 5:00 every day. Shows like The Desert Speaks have good resolution and stunning visuals. And it's totally free. If you have a TiVo Series3, you can DVR all the HDTV documentaries you want and save your favorites. But I'm sure plenty of documentaries will be available on blu-ray within a couple years.

Seeing as how you are in a blu-ray forum, i don't think someone will say, "GO HDDVD !"
But as far as documentaries and national geo, they tend to be neutral. Movie content, more studios support blu-ray so go with blu-ray !

LOL no we're not HD-DVD cheerleaders, but for good reason in my honest opinion.

I wouldn't be here if I didn't firmly believe in Blu-ray.
