Do you think HDTV's will ever to get to this point???

With all of the discussion on the board with ISF calibration, I just have to wonder, will HDTV's EVER get to the point where you can pull them out of the box, plug them in, and start watching with maxim picture quality without having to worry about all that crap?!? Does it not infuriate some of you that after paying thousands for a nice new HDTV, you have to go further and pay someone hundreds more just to get the darn thing to display at it's full potential?

I guess my question is, why can't manufacturers build their HDTV's to already look their best right out of the box instead of us having to pay someone to come out and make them look the way it should've looked in the first place? I mean, I feel like I've got my tv settings right and my pic looks good. However there will always be this nagging feeling that it could look even better if I had a pro calibration. The only problem is that outside of the "the geek squad" there's no one else in my area that does them and I don't trust the geek squad.

room conditions play a big part in calibration, and everyone has different tastes....picture out of the box isn't great, but not god awful horrible... plus other companies can make money off of calibrating it lol. I like tweaking my tv.
