Default < $500 to spend on an LCD/Plasma

Hello guys, haven't been on here in awhile since I sold my BD player, but I hope to get back into the game after the holidays.

Back on track, I think my buddy is going to be buying my 30" Samsung HD tube from me for $400, so I'll have about that much (probably slightly more) to buy a new TV and I want to go bigger, I can go either LCD/Plasma. My buddy bought a 32" Vizio (I know, I know) Plasma from Walmart for $530 out the door, and it looks fantastic, not to mention even though Vizio doesn't advertise it, it will be a FULL 1080p. This TV is on sale now for $437 and I think this is what I'll go with, but I want to see if there is anything that I can get even remotely close to the same price that will be the same quality as this plasma and a full 1080p.

Probably not. I would advise you to save up, or try spending more and get the Panny TH-42PX80U which is only a 720p TV, but is definitely a lot better than a Vizio. Trust us, save up and go better or don't get one at all. I hope this helps.

Save up a little more $$ and get the Panasonic TH-42PX80U. Yes, it's 768p, but this 768p set will blow-away the picture on ANY Vizio, regardless of resolution. You'll be much more satisfied and for far longer.

My two cents.

The Panasonic is a great tv no doubt, but this is a TV for my bedroom and I won't want anything bigger than a 32".

Size constrictions, or do you think it would be too big?

If you can only go 32 inch i would go with the Sony KDL-32L4000 $498 at walmart. According to customer reviews its really good 5/5 based on 93 ratings but its only 720p.

Hey do what you want in the end it's your money, remember that Vizios make great presents or it can always be a back up. My son has my old 1080i vizio LCD and my mom was more the happy to take my old 47" Vizio LCD.

samsclub has the new 32" vizio lcd for 547. This is a full 1080P and not 720P. Probably the cheapeast full 1080P 32 inch out there. Also looks like the improved this model over last years model. Got 1 for my nephew and he loves it.

To answer your question, I want to get something that is slightly bigger as well as thinner so I can have more floor space in my bedroom.

The Sony seems like a great deal as well. I'll check that out too.
