I'd worry that I was so bored I flipped through the safety card. I don't think I've ever even once read the safety card on a plane, and only listened to the uniformed personelle (or whatever stewardesses are called these days) give the safety lecture once.

Its required by the FAA that they inform you of the safety procedures, there are regulations that define what is on the card and what is not.

The card has be to submitted to the FAA and the FAA defines if a airline can use it or not.

The FAA believes that without this card you would not know how to insert your seat belt, the requirement is to treat everyone on a airplane like its there first time to see or operate a seat belt.

Also the briefing you get from the "uninformed person" is defined and accepted by the FAA, meaning there briefing has to be accepted, its not approved to protect the FAA from any lawsuit.

The idea of the shark eatting you would scare people who are easy to scare... It would also offend several FAA agents lol.. so you know most don't have a sense of humor.. I watched jokes slide right off them.

Sometimes people misunderstand things that are said. I have seen people offended where there was no real reason to be.
