Unlikely Blu-ray titles - Blu-ray Forum

Hey everyone.

I just wanted to ask,
what movie would you love to have on blu ray, but know they're probably never going to be released? Well, maybe not never release...just an unlikely one.

Mine are:
- Master of the flying gulliotine (jimmy wang yu)
- The Party (peter sellers)
- It a mad mad mad mad world
- True Romance (christian slater)

The Wizard ( it just finally came out on dvd a year ago )

whoa true romance? that better not be looked over, it's a damn fine movie.

1. Star Wars Episodes 1 - 6
2. The majority of Spielberg catalog titles. (J.P., Minority Report, Munich, Saving Private Ryan...this list could go on).
3. King Kong Extended Edition.
4. Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead
5. Fight Club

Oh there are too many to mention. While these titles can be found wanting all over fandom, I sadly don't see any of them coming out anytime soon. If they won't be released anytime soon, they might as well never be released.

I choose to be pesimistic and pleasantly surprised.

Oh yea, Lock Stock and Snatch.
Id imagine once Rocknrolla is released on Blu ray, they'll release those two as well. Hopefully, they'll be released in some sort of a Guy Ritchie 3 pack

True Romance is a good seller, I'd expect it sooner rather than later. It's a Mad Mad...World is a classic, so I'd also expect that sooner than later.

Those would be a welcome edition to Blu, but unfortunately I feel as if those fall into the category of the BDs I mentioned in my previous post.

I think King Kong, Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead and even Fight Club will be released in 2009. The others are a ??????

I used to think the Justice League season 1 was an unlikely Bluray release. I mean, who would've known they put a "cartoon set" out so soon. Very surprising.

Any unlikely releases would be most older Asian films.

By the way, how do you know for sure that Hard Rain will be released?

I own the JP DTS full bitrate. man, what a dynamic soundstage. never stops for a second. can only imagine how amazing it will sound with lossless.
