Default Some questions about Digital Copies (size, how-to, etc.)

Can these digital copies be played on any mp3 player or are they only compatable with certain players. Im hoping to get a mp3 player soon, maybe for x-mas. Im probably looking to get a sandisk one that plays video. Will something like this work with the digital copies.

If digital copies are compatible to work on iTunes, then they can only be played on video iPods (including the iPod Classic and iPod Touch) and iPhones. Some digital copies are also compatible for Windows Media Player as well. So more than likely, you might not have any trouble with the Sandisk players, but that's just a wild guess right there. In fact, if you're looking at getting either the Sansa Fuze or Sansa View MP3/Video Players, then you might not have a problem right there.

Hope this helps!

Default Digital Copy Questions

I've looked through a # of other websites and a lot of posts on here and can't seem to find what I'm looking for regarding digital copies.

I've gotten ones like The Incredible Hulk and The Matrix. Both awesome movies that I wouldn't mind having access to when I've got my laptop w/me.

I've never used a digital copy before so forgive my ignorance. Here goes:

1: How much room do they typically take up on your harddrive??

2: Once you put it on, if your laptop crashes, can you put it back on the same computer?? Does it get "registered" to that computer or is it gone??

3: If I xfer the movie to an MP3 player, is it still accessible on my laptop??

I think that's it for now, thanks for any info.

Yep, same here, Digital Copies are something of a mistery to me.
Their very name is not clear to me as a "digital copy" is any copy that is digital and not analog. So a Bluray, a DVD and a CD of either music or video are per say "digital copies".

Now back to the branded Digital Copy, they say it allows you to watch the movie on your computer or portable devices and that's great but you can do that with any DVD.

Most movies i put on my ipod are typically around 500mb-1bg. Something like LOTR would be 1gb

2. i can't really say, but i'd imagine you can put it on any device at anytime. I don't think they expire, that would be lame.

3. Yes you should be able to copy the movie mulitiple times

I just clonedvdtomobile instead of digital copies. This way i can put all of my dvds' on any device i have that can play them

Slysolf.com

They have a 21 day free trial if you want to try it out.

My thought of digital copies is that they are just disks with files on them of the movies that you have. Kind of like downloading a new program onto your computer. But than again, i've never owned a digital copy, i think they're pointless.

Speed Racer - 1.28GB for computer and 648MB for the portable DC.
ONE USE!!!
You got one use of the "code" for each copy(1.28GB and 648MB) and that's it!
I had a self inflicted computer issue and had to restore an Acronis image.
DCs were on the second drive.
Went to play the 1.28GB one - it asked for the "code" - Exceeded use limit?

http://digitalcopy.warnerbros.com/support/support.aspx

How many times can my authorization code be used?
The authorization code can be used once. One authorization code will provide 1 PC and 1 portable media device copy license.

POS!
Deleted them both!
Talk about a waste...
