Last night I went to see Slumdog Millionaire (highly reccomended). Well, Slumdog isn't a wide release and you can't go to the Megaplex to watch it.
Holy cow, what a difference not going to the big theatre makes. There was never one time that I saw a cell phone, nobody talked, nobody made out in front of me, it was awesome, it was like I was at home. Now the screen was a little small for my taste and the price was about a buck higher than normal. But the seats were more plush and the film was kept in better condition it looked like, it almost looked digital at somepoints, but at others you could tell it wasn't. Unfortnaetly they only show the limited releases there and I can't go for all my movies, but I really don't see anything drawing me back to the Megaplex until Watchmen. Between blu-ray and my newly discovered little secret though, the Megaplex can kiss my youknowhat. im so sick of paying 8 bucks to listen to peoples conversations on the cell phone. |
