Default Axiom speakers

Anyone have experience with Axiom speakers.

I am thinking of getting the following setup to replace some old JBL's:

VP150 Center
Pair Millennia M80 Towers
Pair QS8 Surrounds

Thanks!!!

It's Axiom and they are good speakers. You should really listen for yourself but that is hard since they only sell over the internet.

The good thing about them is that they will let you return the speakers if you don't like them so it's low risk if you decide to buy them.

Those particular Towers from their line-up are very well reviewed. I have owned Axiom speakers in the past but be aware that their signature sound is a little bright (very accurate though). I found that to be true and most reviewers note it as well. If you want a more lush and organic sound you might want to look at another brand.

I have Axiom speakers and I love them (I have the same thing as you are planning to get except I got the M60 instead of the M80, the 4 ohm rating of the M80 convince me to get the M60 instead).

If you want to audition these speakers in your area before buying, you can check the audition club on their forum. Basically, people who own Axiom speakers will let you into their homes to let you listen to their speakers...

Also check the review on Audioholics.

I've had my Axiom speakers for a couple of months now and I think they are great. I think they are just about broken in by now and they sound awesome. I also got the M-60's vs the M-80's as did Johk.

I just recently received my pair of QS-8's a couple of days ago...but can't install them til X-MAS (X-mas present). I think they are also going to sound great though based on the comments and reviews by people who already own them.

BTW Axiom's customer service is top notch. They have never disappointed me and are always willing to help. They even have full time staff ready to help you with any questions you might have with regards to install, speaker placement, or any other technical questions you might have.

I have an Axiom setup (see sig for models) and this assesment is 100% on the money. I absolutely LOVE my Axioms. They are bright. They are less so than Klipsch, but there are other speakers that have softer highs.

You can rest assured that they are well worth their price.

Whatever you get, good luck and enjoy!

You are correct. Some receivers can handle 4 ohm speakers, but it is safer to use separate amplifiers that can handle low impedance speakers.

BTW, the guy who started Axiom used to work with Dr. Floyd Toole, the leading speaker and subwoofer researcher, at the National Research Council of Canada in Ottawa. Axiom rocks.

I haven't even listed the stuff in my bedroom, guest room, storage room, and garage. In addition to the equipment listed in my signature, I have more high-end and vintage stuff (4 figures) than Best Buy, Circuit City, Amazon, and Future Shop combined.

I should convert my garage and storage room to vintage home theater rooms or I should start a web site to compete directly with Ebay.

I currently have my JBL surrounds on a square stand. I I use some mounting putty to attach the stand to the speakers and have had no kid issues since doing that.

I will try the same with the axiom speakers. If they don't fit I guess I will have to buy the axiom stands.

I was just kidding. My point was that I have a lot of unused speakers, electronics, and other gadgets that I have accumulated over the years. Someday, I will sell them on Ebay or give them away.
