Default Not HD on blu ray?

I own a Blu Ray Samsung BDP-1500 and I was told to get an HDMI cable to hook up from the BR player to my HDTV (which is a samsung).

Unfortunately just playing my first blu ray disc, and I am not getting high definition.

HELP!!!!

First, you must explain the issues your having clearly.

If you are asking if you need a HDMI cable to experience high definition, the answer is yes.

Buy: www.monoprice.com

You have to be sure to set the players output resolution to whatever your monitor can handle. Not all players are set for 720 or 1080 right out of the box.
