Default I think this will work but I'd like feedback

Here's my components and OS info:

motherboard: Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, PCI Express, Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF, USB 2.0 & Firewire, Serial ATA, RAID

processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor HH80562PH0568M - 2.40GHz, 8MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Kentsfield, Quad-Core, OEM, Socket 775, Processor

graphics card:XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Video Card - 256MB DDR3, PCI Express, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV (maximum resolution: 2560 x 1600 (Digital) )

monitor:HP w2207 22" Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor with BrightView Panel - 5ms, maximum resolution: 1680x1050 (WSXGA+), 1000:1, DVI-D, USB Hub, Speakers

OS: Windows XP Pro SP2

Bottom line: I'm considering buying Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 Ultra. With all that stated above, will I be able to play Blu-Ray at or near maximum resolution? I emailed tigerdirect where I bought everything from and they said no problem. However, I'd like to ask others their opinion, please.

Thanks!

Hardware wise, plenty of horsepower.
The display is not 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 so that is a drawback.
Blu-ray Discs are 1920x1080.

Geting a BD ROM/Combo drive or a burner?

This setup will play blu-ray very nicely at near-maximum resolution. However, as your screen is 1680 x 1050 you will not be taking full advantage of your BD picture. The next size up which will display at full 1080p is a 24 inch monitor with native resolution of 1920 x 1200. I personally recommend the Samsung T240, if you can get past that Touch of Color gimmick. It's worth it to pay a little more for a 24 inch screen.

Dont' forget your sound card either. You should go for the asus xonar hdav card.
HDMI version
Deluxe version with analog outputs
