Hi there! And Futureshop $9.99 titles+others - Blu-ray Forum

Hi Folks!

First post and I thank you in advance for this forum, as it'll help me build my collection, glad I'm not the only guy falling for the latest format change!

Just was at futureshop today, I fiqure we might as well place the $9.99 titles in here, they were stickered as so.

- Terminator 2 Judgement Day (didn't pick up since I saw no HD audio, assuming warner release but didn't see the icon.)
- Total Recall (same barebones release)
- there are others but I don't remember what they were, they were in the blu-ray section, not on a special cart or anything.

Nice upgrade for your DVD, but I saw no HD audio on any of them, I'm assuming a barebones cash grab to get folks into blu-ray, I'll wait for my T2 to be released as a better HD audio + extras version like the "extreme" version they have on DVD right now, kind of irritating buying a blu-ray with no blu-ray features other then 1080p so I'll pass until then.

Side note: I was at HMV today, and saw the 3 disc version of The Dark Knight was $24.99, cheaper then even walmart! I am not sure if it will stay like that after today.

Blockbuster had the Pans at 14.99 stickered, didn't see a Golden Compass. I did manage to snatch a pre-viewed copy of Sunshine for $19.99, I love that movie, blew up my living room with the HD audio! Not totally ignorant of the laws of physics and real facts give it a shot unless you're scared of the potential future!

Your first post in the HOT DEALS-CANADA forum was a good choice. We're always looking for deals and a lot of guys post regularly on here and others have benefited from that.

So, if you see a good deal..share it with us. Others may come back and challenge you on your post, but don't let that deter you. If you think it's a good deal...POST IT! There is always someone out there who is looking to get what you may be letting us know about.

oh I noticed the competition! I usually search the forum first before posting a deal, I missed the HMV dark knight thread though, but since I had FS 9.99 ones I did not bother deleting.

Yeah i saw TDK at a local store here montreal 26.99$. Same price as the DVD with the same material (the barebone is 20.99$). I was suprised as Futureshop is 29.99$ (both metal and non metal edition)
