Default Warner is releasing EVERYTHING in their Archives.

O.K. first... sorry if this has been posted....

Either way, I was listening to NPR this morning in the car, and they had an interview where they stated there are 6,300 or so ( I think... I know for a fact it was 6,000 and "something) movies (T.V. shows are separate) that will be released onto Home Video for the first time.... they'll do it at a rate of about 30 per year (so not all in my lifetime) either way.... they're also giving a "CUSTOM ORDER" option to either get them digitally (like iTunes etc) or they will actually press you a DVD and send it to you.... (no packaging though I don't think)

They mentioned some good titles here's a link from WB.

That is just a lot of P.R. crappola from WB. At 30 movies per year they would need 200 years to release them all. In a couple of years, new people come into the decision makings process and make changes. Lots of smoke from WB.

I'm really interested in Doc Savage.

I've heard good things from a few online, so I may give it a try. Besides my VHS copy I made back in the 80's is getting hard to watch.

I dont understand a word you said.
They will be releasing 6000 movies over the next 200 years?

What the hell difference does that make to anyone?

I think you must have heard it wrong, or this thread is worthless.

possibly
if they are putting out the movies and alot of people are buying
they would probably up production rates

but also if not alot of people are buying, they might rethink it

I think they hope to eventually up the production.... but THIRTY per year, is the number they have plans for initially.

It makes sense..... there are 6,000 and some odd movies never released in a home format.... and they plan to begin releasing them all, and like I said, they will do "Custom" pressings etc... so you can special-order any of the 6,000 or so films right now.....

Did anyone read any more info from their site?????

This thread isn't worthless for people who would like to own some of those 6,000 or so films..... plus like I said, you can get them via "Download" or whatever..... so you can own it that way also.

They did describe the packaging for the DVDs as "Brown paper, no artwork" though.

HERE:... I don't usually reference blogs... but this was from a basic google search.
