PS3 - Wireless Headset & Bit Stream
I just bought a new PS3 (slim) and have hooked it up to my Onkyo TX-SR507 receiver. I have the PS3 set to bit stream so my Onkyo receiver is doing the decoding. I have it set to that because it appears the sound coming from my surround sound speakers, sounds much better (not to start a bitstream sound vs. LPCM sound debate) then if I let the PS3 do it on blurays.
I also want to buy the new Sony PS3 wireless headset but want to be sure of my question first. My question is: If the PS3 player is set to output bit stream, will the wireless headset still work since the PS3 is no longer decoding? If someone could verify this it would be great. thanks. |
