Default THe Dark Knight plus Chronicales of Narnia: Prince Caspeian

I must two great movies along with first two movies from each set. I have a question for some you, while watching "The Dark Knight" on my ps3 the letterbox disappears and comes back threw out the movie and only for a few minutes. Does any one know how to turn that off or get full scene by and chance? Another I'm tired of NOT! having the repeat option for these , I"m one of those people who need background noise while sleeping at so most of the times i'll put on a mvoie and hit the repeat etc. Does any one know why the new mvoies aren't using this feature , it is no big deal I'm just curious ... But any who these two movies are great flicks I highly recommend them both !

The shifting aspect ratios is how the movie is meant to be seen. There's no option to have just one ratio all the way through.

I commented on your sig because I did like it. Lighten up man. Anyways... sorry, but I honestly thought this was a joke post. I've never heard of anyone putting a movie on repeat while they sleep.

Hey, a lot of people I know put their televisions on sleep mode and go to sleep like that. I do it too, it's better than music for me. Only thing is, I want to do it with movies too, but the PS3 doesn't have a sleep timer on it, unfortunately.

I don't know why'd you want to have it on repeat, though; chances are you'd fall asleep before the first run ended, and having it on all night would surely wear down the player, not to mention cost unnecessary electricity.

i actually agree with the OP. theres been plenty of times where ill fall asleep watchin a movie then in the middle of the night a wake up to the annoying menu screen with the same music and scenes looped every 30 sec. i wish they would add that feature so after the movie is done, itll play again.

You CAN have your ps3 shut off after a set time. It's under power saving. You just have to select it to shut off during movie playback.

Actually, I too agree with the OP... I definitely have to have the TV on when I go to sleep and if I wake up and it's still on, that's alright by me... and if it's a movie, just like alkalinesi, if I wake up and hear the menu looping, I'll just hit play again and go back to sleep.

My thoughts...

I'm not usually a spelling and grammar nazi but trying to read this post makes my head hurt.

The letterbox to fullscreen and back again in the blu-ray version of Dark Knight is to replicate, to some extent, the Imax presentation. Not the best idea for a blu-ray imo. There is a complete discussion in the Dark Knight thread.

I think some blu-ray titles will start again after a few passes of the menu, but I'm not sure. Maybe that was HD-DVD.

You might want to check out some fo the scenic type blu-rays. Like fireplace, aquarims, nature and such. those having looping mechanisms on them and would play over and over while your sleeping.

Set the sleep timer on the tv to shut off about when the movie would end. Turn off the PS3 when you wake up.
