Setting up international accounts on PSN. - Blu-ray Forum

Okay I want to get some verification here before I go ahead with this.

I read somewhere on here (cannot remember where) that you can set up a UK/Japan account on your region 1 USA PS3 and access the Japanese/UK store to get the demos and whatnot.

Now if I'm only getting demos/media stuff that's already free, and I'm not trying to buy anything, is that legal? Am I going to get barred access to the PSN Network for this?

Sorry if this seems to be a dumb question, I just don't know and don't want to lose access to the online stuff for something that's easily avoided just by asking a question.

It's legal. And you won't get barred.

its fine nothing will happen to you. i have a uk/hong kong/japan/korean acct. reason for so many is certain ones have country specific media.

Same.. i have a Japan, Hong Kong, UK psn
in addition to my US one of course... just remember to play trophy enabled games on ur US account or the trophies will go to the other regions account =P

I have a japan account. It was easy to do. Just google it.
