Samsung BDP1400 problems with Mama Mia playback

Hi has any body got any ideas why Mama mia will not play on my Samsung BD P1400 i have downloaded the latest firmware from the samsung support site. The disk loads up ok and shows the menu etc when you choose to play main feature the screen goes blank and does nothing. This is the 2nd copy i have got from HMV as the first copy did exactly the same! Any suggestions please?????

I suggest you check the validity of your copy,....every source I've checked says "Mama Mia" is not due for release to retailers until 12/16/08 .

"Mamma Mia" is out in Europe for example. And it's region free.
Also it's a Universal Title. It seems strange that the Samsung BD-P 1400 won't play it. The only title so far that the Samsung BD-P 1400 (or other Samsungs for that matter) won't play is the European Version of the "Omen Trilogy".

You should also know that there hasn't been a Firmware update for the 1400 in some time. Every other player from Samsung has got a new FW Update in the last couple of days. So just have patience. I hope the have that problem fixed by then. (In my case I mean the Omen Trilogy)..

Hi thanks very much for that advice it was a great help, i hope they sort out an updated firmware soon as im getting it in the neck off my fiancee why she cannot watch the movie!!! Ha Ha
