Does anyone know how I can set the Onkyo 606 so that when I use my harmony remote it turns just the TV and Cable Box on and the audio comes from the TV. But when we press the TV/Cable box/Onkyo button the sound comes from the Onkyo Receiver. I know how to set the Harmony remote, but it doesn't appear the Onkyo is passing the signal through. When I press TV/Cable Box both turn on but there is no picture or sound. Am I missing something?
Thanks!! |

Not sure if I fully understand what you want to do, but if I wanted sound from the TV without the receiver being on, I would run a pair of RCA's from the cable box directly to the TV.

I fiddled about with trying to get the sound from the PS3 to pass through the 606, because I didn't want game sounds to come through the whole system, and I never did figure it out. The 606 instructions did say something to the effect that sometimes the sound passthrough doesn't work with all equipment...
