my Onkyo has too many for my liking aside from the THX logo I would prefer if Onkyo followed Pioneers lead by placing the logos on the top panel of the receiver rather than on the front panel.

I never looked.

I learned that lower end HDMI AVR's would process PCM and PS3 can output every format as PCM so I knew if the AVR did HDMI audio ... it would work for every format.

With that in mind... I ignored what the AVR could do in terms of decoding and focused on other specs.

I output everything from the PS3 in the form of PCM and use Direct Multi-Channel Pure mode on the AVR.

Denon and Sony only for me. I like that the Sony receivers allow you to label the inputs on the front display, so I wrote BLU-RAY in electroluminiscent letters on it for all to see.

I can change the name of my inputs on my Denon too... it's not specific to Sony AVR's.

I named mine PS3 but Blu Ray would have been a pretty good one now that I think about it.

I think pretty much all receivers let you do this. My Marantz did, Pioneer does - who doesn't?
