Problem: I've got a new Panasonic DMP BD-35 Blue Ray player. It has played several movies (Kung Fu Panda, etc.) fine. But when I try to play Disney's Prince Caspian or Wall-E, the movie plays, but I get no sound through my surround sound system (Harman/Kardon AVR100). The sound is actually fine for the previews and right up to the start of the movie, then there's nothing. I have to play the sound through the TV. Any thoughts?

I think both of those BD disks are DTS-HD MA sound; are you connected with a HDMI cable? If your connected with a optical does your receiver decode DTS?

Your receiver probably can't do DTS Master HD and if you have an older receiver then you have to hook your Panny up via analog to get the DTS Master HD. The Blu-ray player will then do the decoding, instead of the receiver. I hope tha helps.

one of my kids were playing with the remotes to this player the other day and the audio wouldn't work, I just reset the player and everything was fine, you can find the reset procedure in the troubleshooting section. See if that helps.

I'm not connected with HDMI. I'm connected with optical. I don't think my receiver decodes DTS. The Blu-ray player sound output is set to bitstream. Any other thoughts?

If optical is the only connection available to you and your receiver cannot decode DTS...you may be hosed.
