Default Help! Problems with my (TV) or (PS3) or (Blu-ray)

Hi im having a problem but i dont know if its my ps3 or my tv or the BR disc. Ok this is whats happening, i have a LG 42" LCD 1080i 720p since 2006 and i bought a PS3 last weekend with my christmas bonus. the PS3 is working perfect with games BUT i got my first movie "WANTED" on BR, the movie had an excellent details but when comes to the parts that have a lot of movements or acction it looks like is skipping frames of the movie and look pretty bad, i dont know if you guys get my point, i double check the cables and the HDMI seems to work perfectly and i tried to change the settings on the tv and lower the sturation and contrast to see if there was a problem but it looks the same. Ok i dont know if its the BRD or the TV that doesnt support the brd but its weird cuz in the Sony Style store they play sometimes br in 720p. please somebody help me here!

Not sure if your set accepts a 1080p signal (obviously it will not display 1080p but some can accept 1080p). If this is the case, try turning off 24Hz.

BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI)

Ok heres a shot in the dark.
Is your playstation set up correctly??

I mean have you gone into the display settings and set up all your current output resolutions????

Also is your ps3 hooked up to the internet??
Some Blue ray titles will download information before they play. Kinda like a patch for a videogame.
Same goes for your playstations3 software version. If there is a more current one it may have addressed and fixed your issue.

not sure what you mean by 1080i 720p. accepts 1080i that displays at 720p? you need to match the ps3 to your highest output resolution. turn off 1080/24 in bluray menu. go down to display menu. in here the ps3 should auto detect your highest resolution. if your set displays at 720p i would let the ps3 do the processing and send this to your set.

It's probably the PS3 if you just bought it then it probably needs a firmware update. Just plug into your internet and update the system.

depending on what TV you get.

Some 1080p tv's play 24fps, some don't.

If you ever decide to buy a new TV, run it by us here on bluray.com first, we'll steer you straight.
