Default New laptop...im stoked

custom ordered VGN-FW290 Sony VAIO laptop in Black...

2.5ghz T9400 processor (1066mhz front side bus/6mb cache)
LCD 16.4" XBRITE-FullHD
internal bluray read and write drive
4gb ram
320gb harddrive
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 with 512MB vRAM vid card

It ships out on Dec.16th...I was looking on my credit report AND to my suprise I had a Circuit City credit card that I was approved for last April lol. SO I finally got the means to order my baby since this desktop is maxxed out at 1GB of ram thanks to the pci motherboard. I hate not being able to edit/mix videos and now I will finally be able to.

Yay for bluray on-the-go!

The res is 1920x1080 (1080p) It has dual lamps for brightness and inscreased viewing angle.

When do you guys think they'll release 8 core 3 GHZ computers ?
I plan to get a new computer in 2 years and it seems to me that we have been stuck on 4 core computers with 3 GHZ CPU's taking time to be there, you know the quad extreme types.
I am talking about Desktop computers (Laptops are farther back in terms of sheer power)

That is exactly the setup I have been eyeing! Let me know what you think once you get it. Fry's had one with a BD burner on sale, but it didn't have the video card or HD screen.

I just started working out of town and I needed to be able to send pics back and forth with my shop. Plus this is easier to send and recieve e-mail than my phone. Also it has a 160 gig hd. holds lots of pics, lots of music and in it's case it fits in the top of my toolbox. Plus I can surf the net and watch Hulu and netflix movies at night after work in the hotel.

I can lock this one in my toolbox on the job. Anything much bigger just wouldn't fit.

I'd like one to fit in my various camera bags for a lighter load in the field. My camera gear weighs so much already.
