I have to spend the day with my wife's family. Does that count?

I'll be cooking for and cleaning up after family. Sometimes I think I would rather be at work.

no way, having the day off and watching the kids open gifts, especially those gifts that have those wire straps and bolts is enough work and then i have to put the damn thing together.

I just got home from work and don't have to be back until Monday morning. We got some PRN therapists to come and see our patients over the weekend so noone has to work on Christmas.

LOL..... they aren't working Christmas either. They are just working the weekend to make up for the visits missed on Christmas. PRN have it made. It's a totally voluntary thing. You call them up and ask are you available to work such and such day.... and they just say yes or no. No harm no foul if they don't want to. Most just do it for extra income because it's good money. If you make $50 at your full time job..... you'll likely get $75 for doing PRN work.
