Default Monster bashing and other bashing... Thread crapping all the time.....

As we all know the "guidelines and rules" don't we...........

Don't threadcrap, in other words don't go into a thread about golfing and post "golf sucks" etc. It's unconstructive and it insults people who like golf.

If you can't contribute anything positive to the thread don't respond at all - just report the post if you think it should be reported.

Monster seems to be the latest and greatest never ending target for those who have nothing to contribute........ever !!! We all know there are cheaper and just as good alternatives to Monster cables and still people feel the need to crap all over everything any chance they get.

I personally own a couple Monster HDMI cables and more than a few Monoprice cables. Does it matter ??? We should be able to discuss a product or whatever without having the "haters" come in and do what they do best. learn a new trick and leave people to talk about Monster, Bose, Polk, Onkyo or whatever it is alone. If you have had a bad experience with that product and want to share it, I think that should be fine. Discuss it without having to explain; Oh you know that Monster Cable you bought, well it took eight baby seals to make that cable, who cares??? All companies In some form or another do things we don't like, who cares ??? Except Monster is where we draw the line, huh ???

It has nothing to do with the topic at hand unless it is a thread about Monster's business practice. People own and buy these products so back off and talk about something else or make your own thread.

It should really be no big deal to most people here and let it go already. If someone fails to research on their own and they pay more for it, oh well. If someone wants to buy it anyways, oh well. If someone fails to read the "stickies" , oh well. Please look around before posting !!! Duh !!!

I know the mods can't do everything and babysit everyone all the time but try reading some of the rules or guidelines once in a while. It should apply to me and everyone else or not at all.

So leave it alone already and don't post unless it's about the topic at hand.

I'm sure to be flamed quickly so that will show who the haters are. Flame away as you never have anything to contribute. Everyone should agree that we should be able to talk about stuff (no matter who doesn't like it) and not have it crapped on unless the thread is about the ethics of said company.

I agree, mdabb.

Although thread-crapping, as a whole, is incontrollable.

Movie-haters.

Standalone Player-haters. (lol)

PS3-haters

Sony haters

Warner haters

Disney-commercials-take-too-long haters

Extras haters

Bose haters

Monster haters

LCD haters

...the kind of general malaise that so infests every forum on the internet, anyway,

They should start there own thread for their dislike of said product then and not ruin everyone else's all the time, let people discuss the matter.

Unless your name is Ralph Nader, leave it alone and resist the urge.

Could you imagine if we ever had a complaints forum?

It could have many stickies, of all the things I listed in my previous post!

It's a brilliant idea, unethical, to be sure - but properly executed...it might be sanity saving.

Actually, here's an example of a thread that could've gone really south based upon the OP's thread title, and has had constructive assistance. Note that my last post in it was well before this thread was created, in case you were wondering.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=75421

To me, this kind of thread is no different than the threads complaining about movie review scores or that there's no xbox360 forum... they're just not going to go anywhere.

All I'm saying is leave something alone, one time.

For the most part all the foul language gets cleaned up. Maybe sticky a "No Thread Crapping" in each section. Obviously we need it.

Who knows ??? It is getting old here and if someone were to start bashing Blu-ray or Blu-ray.com it would get swept under the rug fairly quick.

It's not too much to ask.

Yeah, I guess a thread about "Thread Crapping" is going no where. After all it is one of the rules.

and..... there was thread crapping in that thread.

I think there can be constructive "thread crapping", some of the people who mention monoprice instead of monster truly think they are looking out for the persons best interests. I just wish it was done more politely and ONCE per thread. The OP of a thread may comment they have monster, get the typical buy monoprice, and end up saving themselves some money. It is a good way to expose the person to different options.

It's obvious that nothing short of Monster praise is going to please you. Your definition of a meaningful discussion is obviously different from mine. One can easily pull ANY thread that has more than 5 posts on it and find something meaningless or off-topic. It's a forum. Forums are going to have things you disagree with.

I actually thought that was a pretty good thread, and was thinking that when I replied to it.

True, that doesn't bother me and I doubt it would bother most. Sometimes a person wants something else besides Monoprice and for some it's hard to believe Monster Cables on sale are cheap but they are available everywhere. People who own Monster products don't even want to get into a discussion because of it.

There is no great reason to buy most Monster products but being evil and whatever else they did this week is not one of them. Besides it's not our money, it should be about whether they are good or not.

It goes deeper than Monster. It use to be Bose too.

I'm not trying to make it an overly huge deal and more than anything it's about the endless thread crapping here. It can be controlled for the most part.

If you wanna discuss Monster and Monoprice products constructively, it can be done in off topic, not in hot deals which is why the thread was edited and closed. It was full of threadcrapping, which is anything not related to the deal. Hot Deals is not a discussion area. A lot of posts were removed and it almost went too far involving personal attacks. This is obviously a touchy subject and should be just avoided now as it is no longer constructive. This debate surfaces every week in various areas of the forum and it's getting to be redundant now. Some like Monster, some don't, it's that simple. Buy your cables where you like them, use them how you like them and let others like what they want. This goes for every item that people disagree on. The rules up top of Hot Deals and Off Topic define what is and isn't tolerated and threadcrapping and saying you think something isn't a good deal are clearly listed in there. Please end this.

It's the constant bashing and besides you probably only even got a chance to read 50% of what I wrote. Somehow that magically got deleted. I don't care either but if people are allowed to bash I can do what I think I need to do as a member.

Praise Monster huh ??? How about controlling some of the retards on here and make it an even playing field. Saying something is of bad quality is one thing or hey, you can get a better deal elsewhere, duh. You know what I'm talking about. Besides if there is a big Monster fan out there (we used to have them) leave them alone right ??? same as Bose same as anything.

As I said, the entire thread was deleted aside from the initial post with the price of the deal. It was all unnecessary.

Anyone who says "MONSTER CABLE IS CRAP" is full of crap!

Overpriced ?, probably.

Crap ?, Absolutely not!

several bandwagons exist on this & other boards.

-Monster cable sucks

-Panasonic makes the best BD players

-All of Toshiba's products are garbage (since they backed HDDVD?)

-Microsoft is run by Alqueda, Taliban, Satan etc.

-Playstation 3 is the messiah
