um...what home cinema do you have?

...im gonna just guess and say you do not need an "official" sony optical cable, any optical cable will work.

looks like you have a digital coax input...meaning you can use an optical output from the PS3 and convert it to digital coax to input into the sound system.

So you would need one of each:

Optical Cable

Optical Toslink to Coaxial (RCA) Digital Audio Converter

Digital Coax (RCA) cable

...this would be your best option, or invest in a newer sound system.

well, good luck with that!

...if you cannot, either upgrade to an HDMI receiver...or PM me and maybe I could buy them for you and ship them to holland? (at paid price of course)

also when you do connect, you will need to set the PS3 optical audio output to Bitstream.

bring a picture of this with you because the sales person might have NO clue what you are looking for.

make sure it says:

Optical IN
Coaxial OUT

...they make some that are opposite which I do not believe will work.

I used to use the exact same device for the exact same situation (although I used it on my 360) on my old receiver. Worked great. Just understand that it is powered so you'll need to plug it in to an outlet.

Again, if you can't find one I'm no longer using mine and maybe we can work something out. I think you may be able to get it from Monoprice as well though they were sold out at one time. (Does Monoprice ship internationally?)
