Default Prince Caspian Opinions?

I have been sitting here for an hour wondering if I should pull the trigger on the Prince Caspian + Wall-E deal on Amazon. I would have already done so, however, it seems Prince Caspian has some nasty reviews (the movie, not the Blu-ray).

How does it stand against the first installment?

I liked Prince Caspian a lot! Not quite as good as the first, but a very good movie. The replay value is great. Movie 4.5 out of 5.

Is it worth a blind buy?

Many people seem to like it a lot. I didn't like it in theaters...but, perhaps I should give it another shot?

Default my opinion

i thought the first (lww) was awkward. enjoyed it but in my final estimation - i gave it a 7/10. prince caspian, though flawed (but i wont get into that), however, was really entertaining to me. i thought it was way better and more cinematic than the first. i added it to my christmas list (the only other Blu i want is Dark Knight)... in my opinion - if you *liked* the first, it's a no brainer. if you end up not liking it (which is a possibility, albeit a small one) - i think that the resale/trade value would be high...i say go for it...

First one was more of a surprise, the joy of seeing a CS Lewis brought to the big screen. The second one had a few scene that seem a bit boring when I first saw it in theaters back in May. I've now watched it 3 times since I got by BD last week it's getting better, even more so then the first one IMO

I agree! I saw it at the theaters and liked it, but liked it even more watching it at home in Blu. One of those movies that just keeps getting better each time you see it.

Critics are dumb when it comes to what the source material and purpose of a lot of movies is. SW: the Clone Wars was just setting up another tv series. And Prince Caspian is supposed to be grittier and darker than the first Narnia. I liked the movie, personally, and recommend it.

I enjoyed it more than the first film. It kind of took me back to being a kid again and I got that magical feeling I got watching Disney as a kid.

It was not better than the first at all. I liked this movie enough to get it on BD but can admit that I would not recommend it as a blind buy. It's less of everything that made the first one the hit that it was, but Wall E is a definite must-own.

You can blame Lewis for that. Out of all the books he wrote, most ppl mark 'wardrobe' down as their favorite.

It is a good movie, but if you have read the books, there are some tangents that it goes down that bothered me a little bit, which, in turn, took a little away from what the book was intending. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, on the other had, was almost word for word from the book.

Is it a great buy? YES! Is it perfect? No, but only in the sense that Wanted was not perfect from a physics standpoint.

Go out, get some and buy the movies. They are both spectacular on BD.

I liked Voyage of the Dawn Treader the best. I am so looking forward to it. There is so much that goes on in it.

I recommend it. Very underrated.

I love this movie and I'm sticking to my word that I feel this is superior than the first. So much darker yet so much more magical.

And the BLU is fantastic!

I only rented it but liked it a lot more than the first. It is a bit long, though. PQ and AQ are outstanding.
