Default Movies you just couldn't get into....

Harry Potter is one of those movies. The first time I tried watching the 1st HP movie, I was like..."this is not doing it for me."

My question for you is: Will the BD Harry Potter experience get me into these movies?

Do I need to watch em in order to know what's going on? or is there a best of the series that I can buy and try to enjoy?

I'm not sure if them being on BD will necessarily make them more enjoyable for you if they weren't the first time, but it's not likely to make them less enjoyable.

They are generally pretty self contained, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to watch them in order.

Yes you need to watch them in order, because u meet new characters in every movie, and its cool to watch them grow up and change. They are all great movies and i know what u mean, but the first one was ok, but after the second one ur gonna ***** to see the next one. Worth watching it, watch the movie the whole way through, u will not be disappointed. Lord of the Rings is better though, but thats another topic lol

Hope this helps
P.S. - Watch the first 3 movies on SD because HD doesnt cut it, but the 4th and 5th are awesome PQ

One of the worst blu-ray movies I've seen is The Fountain. I must've thought it was a bad movie because either I had too much to drink or it really was that boring. I tried my hardest to get into the movie but couldn't. Anyone else seen this horrible movie?

We're talking about movies on BD? I'd have to say Dreamgirls. I bought that on speculation and have only gotten 2/3ds of the way through it in two sittings. I doubt I'll ever "finish" it. This is my first Blu-ray disappointment.

If we're talking about any movie, the list is too long to bother with.

Black Dahlia - Dumbest movie ever. Turned it off 10 minutes in and never looked it again.

I know I'll be pretty much alone on this one but I thought that Transformers was a loaf of moldy velveeta.

Your not the only one. Fell asleep when I was watching it. Pretty lack luster honestly.

It's a Universal title and on HD DVD at the moment. I thought it was a fantastic movie Don't own it on HD DVD though.

Thanks for the advice folks. Maybe one of these days, I'll check out the HP series on BD. I may get it as a gift for the holiday season, who knows.

Batman00: I completely agree that Lord of the Rings was way better! I love those movies and can't wait for the BD release.

DrinkMore: You sure you didn't drink too much before going to see Transformers? How can you fall asleep during such an awesome flick?

richard lichtenfelt: Same question for you. I've heard ctiticism of transformers due to stuff being changed/left out from the comic, but you and drink more are the 1st I've ever heard say it wasn't an entertaining movie.

Fortunately, so far all the BDs I've bought I love and will watch anytime, manytimes.

My friend loves Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Heroes... and I just can't get into them no matter how many times I try.

I cant make it through The Passion, not because it is a bad movie but because it seriously upsets me. I feel so many emotions when watching that movie it is hard to describe

What are you talking about? There's absolutely nothing wrong with the first three, ESPECIALLY Prisoner of Azkaban. There's no comparison between the DVD and BD.

I actually bought the Passion to watch the gruesome stuff . . . I don't know why, I like watching stuff that would make the proverbial billy goat puke.

I've watched Blade Runner a few times and had a hard time getting into it. I wasn't really "in the mood" for that type of movie when I sat down to watch it any of the times, but I forced myself to watch it. I'm getting the BD on Tuesday, hopefully it'll change my opinion.

I didn't like the Harry Potter films at all either, I just couldn't sit through them... same goes for the LOTR films, took me more then one sitting to get through the first film, I liturally played guitar the whole way through the second and needed company with the last one, we joked our way through it.
and I could not even sit through 30 minutes of Balls Of Fury, that movie sucks... SO badly

Harry Potter 3,4,5 are a LOT better than 1 and 2. But if the first one wasn't doing it for you, I wouldn't bother getting them on Blu-ray.
